After reading this, I realize how many people I know role play this way and more. The scenarios victim/hero is popular. Unfortunately, it also makes me think of the folks who role play on-line, too - like Second Life or other popular social media sites. And how they develop these virtual persona's relationships. It's both interesting and fascinating how we attempt to satisfy our personal needs - especially emotional ones like attention. Don't even get me going on multiple personalities. maria r, in the comment section of this article makes a good point ....
This makes me also think, the more familiar role play - getting into character, dress-up and lots of interesting and useful props, is a whole lot more fun to share and experience with your partner - and undeniably all about the sex? right?
My heart goes out to those who find themselves in the victim/hero roles. It's one more "complicated" thing that makes intimate relationships a challenge - but so worth it when it's all going right.
